With «The Metamorphosis», Franz Kafka created a literary masterpiece that powerfully explores themes such as alienation and isolation. Composer Gordon Kampe and author Philipp Löhle now bring the famous story to the stage as an opera, offering a new perspective: the focus is not on Gregor Samsa and his room, but on his family and how they gradually come to terms with the incomprehensible.
