Cog Railway to Rochers-de-Naye © Montreux Berner Oberland Bahn (MOB)
All in one. That's the theme of today's newsletter. Our team has been searching for top mountain destinations that meet the following criteria: Central location and easy access. Cultural and culinary offerings. Quick access to the heights by cable car. And ideally, a wellness offering.
The result is a list of destinations that are all located in the valley but offer a variety of ways to explore the surrounding mountains. The days are filled with sports and activities, and the nights are more restful when the air is not so thin.
The beginning of all roads to ...

If the mountains beckon, a hidden gem is the cog railway to Rochers-de-Naye. It takes you to an altitude of 2000 metres and offers a unique panoramic view of the Swiss and French Alps. Once at the top, you can enjoy fantastic winter walks or a small ski area. Just next door in Vevey, the "Train des Etoiles" will take you to the top station of Les Pléiades, from where you can go snowshoeing or follow the famous "Astropléiades" astronomy trail.

... Brig
All in one is also available in Brig. 300 years ago, the town established itself as an important trading centre between north and south. The magnificent patrician houses in the charming Old Town and the opulent Stockalper Palace still bear witness to the wealth of that era. Situated at the foot of the Aletsch Glacier, Brig is an ideal starting point for the ski and hiking area of the Aletsch Arena. Directly from Brig you can also reach the beautiful small ski area of Rosswald above the town. In the evening, relax in the thermal grotto or in the outdoor pool of the Brigerbad. Open daily until 21.00 (until 22.00 on full moon nights).
