HotelCard members love to indulge in something special every now and then. And for many of our customers, it can even be something truly extraordinary – especially when it comes at an exceptionally attractive price.
That’s why we’re thrilled to announce that the award-winning 5-star hotel The Chedi Andermatt is now available to HotelCard members at 50% discount. Enjoy a night in a luxurious Deluxe Room with a crackling fireplace and breathtaking panoramic views – starting from just CHF 500 per night including breakfast, depending on availability. For comparison, the same room on Booking.com typically costs well over CHF 1000 on most dates.
Our team got to experience firsthand that The Chedi Andermatt is no ordinary 5-star hotel. In December, we filmed a commercial for SRF there – and were absolutely blown away. The architecture, blending Alpine chic with Oriental elegance, made an immediate impression. The chefs’ fiery skills in the restaurant mesmerized us, before we unwound in the spa and soaked in the magic of the place.
Whether with or without a film crew – The Chedi is unforgettable, and we can’t recommend it highly enough! 🏔️

The Hotel
The Chedi is the result of the visionary idea of Samih Sawiris, who recognized the hidden potential of Andermatt and transformed the region into a first-class holiday destination after the closure of the Gotthard Fortress. In December 2013, the hotel opened its doors and quickly established itself as one of the best in Switzerland.

Warm wooden tones, plush leather armchairs, and a crackling fireplace create an atmosphere where alpine charm meets Far Eastern elegance – a place that redefines luxury and makes every stay a truly memorable experience.

Andermatt – the Region
Nestled in the Swiss Alps at 1,447 meters above sea level and surrounded by eight majestic mountain passes, The Chedi offers a panorama worthy of the big screen—quite literally. Andermatt gained worldwide fame as a filming location for the James Bond classic Goldfinger starring Sean Connery.
In one legendary scene, 007 stops at an unassuming gas station before driving his Aston Martin over the Oberalp Pass. The gas station still stands today, and many travelers pause there for a brief moment to soak in the Bond experience.
