Team Winter or Team Spring?

So, are you Team Winter or Team Spring? It won't be long until the first crocuses break through the snow blanket and nature awakens. Here are three great ideas for excursions in the coming weeks, for you to enjoy a breath of alpine air - with or without snow.

March and April in Valposchiavo? An insider tip!

Just as the snow is still covering the top of the Bernina Pass and the sun's rays are melting away the last patches of snow down in the valley: There is something magical about Valposchiavo in spring! The mild weather makes hiking and biking trips a possibility from March onwards.

The Swiss Historic Hotel Albrici, steeped in history, is located in the quaint town square of Poschiavo and is the perfect starting point for exploring the area. We highly recommend the homemade, delicious wood-fired pizzas!

Fun in the snow and spring rays in the Grisons

Whether on the sundeck, in one of the 21 rooms or in the renowned restaurant: at the Hotel Bellevue Wiesen *** in Davos-Wiesen you will enjoy a spectacular view of the surrounding Grisons mountains anywhere you go! Relaxation and unwinding are guaranteed here. Nevertheless, the popular ski resorts of Davos/Klosters and Arosa/Lenzerheide are only a 20-minute drive away.

For those who want to escape the hordes of tourists in major ski resorts, a detour to the Rinerhorn is recommended. The ski area, which is a little remote, is a real insider's tip, especially among locals.

"Sönd Willkomm" in Appenzell

Enjoy home-style, fresh cuisine with a touch of gourmet in the Landgasthof Sternen. Located on the Bühler, it is the perfect place to explore the surrounding area: It is 10 km to St. Gallen, 7 km to Appenzell and also only 15 minutes' drive to the Ebenalp cable car station. Ebenalp is a popular destination all year round for (winter) hiking, skiing and, of course, to visit the famous alpine restaurant Aescher (open from May onwards).
